## About the investment

SMACC was one of the technologically leading solutions for AI-driven invoice processing: automatic capture of 30+ invoice data fields and line items for faster, more reliable accounting. In 2025 SMACC was acquired via an asset deal by Würzburg-based CrossCommerce GmbH and integrated into its ERP/DMS ecosystem. Mauerkatze invested directly.

## Mauerkatze & SMACC

Mauerkatze is the angel and venture capital vehicle of Finn Hänsel (known for the Sanity Group exit). We back SMACC as direct investment with capital, network and operational experience from the Berlin tech and VC ecosystem.
